Current 7th grade students who’ve been impacted by the new Middle School Boundary Adjustment were announced in November. To check your student’s school assignment for next school year, use the
school locator on the Beaverton School District website. (Make sure to select 2021-22 School Year Boundaries.)
Superintendent Don Grotting has approved a Legacy Student Program. Rather than switching, the exception allows students who’ll be entering 8th grade during the 2021-22 school year the OPTION to remain at the middle school that they attended during this current school year.
Note: Students in Specialized Programs, Option Schools and Programs (ACMA, BASE, ISB and Rachel Carson) and SUMMA can remain in those programs, regardless of assigned neighborhood school.
Who is eligible for the Legacy Student Program?
-
7th grade students who are slated to move to a different school due to the Middle School Boundary Adjustment may remain at their current school for 8th grade if they communicate their intention via the online form they received in email no later than February 26. All 7th grade families who are eligible to participate in the legacy student program will be sent an email with the appropriate form to fill out. If you did not receive an email, please contact your current middle school registrar to communicate your intention to stay.
-
7th grade students enrolled in FLEX Online School may attend the neighborhood middle school assigned to their home address for the current school year (2020-21) for 8th grade, if they communicate their intention via the online form they received in email no later than February 26.
